Well, apparently in a Marlies or Toronto game (I forget which) they were experimenting with nets that are curved so its easier for the puck to hit the cross bar and go in. “To reward the player for beating the goalie”. If they beat the goalie but can’t get the shot right, we shouldn’t give it to them in a god damn handbasket.

I think it’s great they suspended the players. Even tho, they couldn’t play they could have made an appearance, sign autographs, you know stuff that makes the NHL fan friendly. I think if they get selected next year, hurt or not, they’ll show up, if they don’t, the suspensions will probably be doubled.

There’s more to it. A hell of a lot more.
It’s has to do with principles and the fact the Bettman’s making it seem like are faking it and that the are letting the NHL down which is wrong since they have a great deal of class and have done pretty much anything they have asked for.

Getzlaf should have won the break-away challenge. It was good to see Malkin and Ovie getting along though….that could be bad news come 2010 in Vancouver.
